‘Recently my work – although very much concerned with materials and their embedded meaning developed through practice has become an increasingly two dimensional image based outcome.
I would use the time to get back to the materials as a present tangible thing. Enjoying the touchable reality of ‘stuff’ and see what may result, taking away the idea that the outcome will be an image – making in three dimensions. Literally and cognitively.
Using the space as an influencer.
My practice is expressed through materials which represent reoccurring tropes which have evolved over the last few years, these are embedded within my practice, the substance of which has come to represent my visual language. I am proposing to come into the studio with this identified set of materials and experiment within the space.
