I am currently looking at possibly going into a career in teaching after University. It has been a passion of mine for a few years now as I come from a family of teachers and so I have had a lot of experience in education!
I currently work in a Boarding House at a Prep School in Suffolk and so I have already had a lot of advice about the best route into teaching and what I would want to teach.
I think I want to teach Art at KS2/3 as this is where I have had most experience working/the age group that I enjoy working with the most.
I have spoken to the headmaster of the school, and we have come up with the possible idea of continuing my job in the boarding house next year, but also to volunteer in the classroom during the day as a way to get some more experience in teaching.
