I did a sketch of my living room that’s emptied out, with a more detailed version of what I imagine tentacles to look like. I called it Headless because the tentacles are mostly hidden behind the door, and the viewer isn’t aware of the head of the subject. The door separates mundane reality with the unreal. The term and idea of something headless comments on the abject because it’s a body without a head intact, which is the reason why I used colours associated with the body for the tentacles. It’s a decapitation of the seen and unobservable.
