Whoops!

This blog post seems to have become detached from it's parent blog!

Analysis of the recent drawing, Clusters I

The bubbles that resemble pustules with hair are from the residual suds from hand wash. They work well with the imagery of the insect legs coming out of the plughole in the drawing.

I’m developing this into a VE 1/4 print some time this week or next week.

Evaluations of other drawings

I’ve abandoned the drawing above because I realised that the shape of the plughole doesn’t work as well as Clusters I. The circular holes of the plughole works well with the style of surrealism, simply because the circular structures resemble items, notably rotary phones were invented in that era.

I’ve also noted that the insect legs coming out the plughole is more uncanny than the other drawings for the reasons mentioned above. That’s why I’ve chosen Cluster I as the main drawing, and the rest of the works in this series are test pieces.
