The show presents a group of new paintings and sculptures shaped by the stirrings of our post-trust age; of hidden agendas, the opacity of power and the conspiratorial dialogues that routinely unsettle our perception of the world.
Williams said, ‘After the catastrophic invasion of Iraq in 2003 I began turning over thoughts concerning the increasingly impenetrable side of society and of our institutions, of sofa government, smoke and mirrors’.
The show includes five plaster masks, that each appear in the accompanying paintings.
