This annual, special edition of ART // TECH // PLAY LIVE will explore the challenges and delights of making and presenting artworks involving emerging technologies, with a focus on distribution of art/tech work, including how/where the public is experiencing this type of work in 2024. With keynote presentations and panel talks, we will discuss development, installation, exhibition, touring, and public engagement, exploring a range of case studies with the aim of identifying what new models for producing art/tech work might look like. We have commissioned a small piece of research to inform the Producers’ event – How is art/tech work reaching the public in 2024? Led by Alex Flowers, Flow Associates will share the findings, providing a snap shot of the status of platforms and touring networks for small to medium scale art/tech work in 2024.Registration opens from 12 noon, with time to engage with some interactive artworks throughout the day. The main sessions start at 1pm, wrapping up at 4.45pm, with more time after that to grab a drink and have a chat until 6pm.
Tickets are priced as pay what you can, with a recommended price of £15.
Full lineup and schedule TBA!
