Plinth is a live audiovisual immersive theatre trail exploring the architecture of the De La Warr Pavilion. Multi-media artists MOTH will explore the architecture of the De La Warr Pavilion through live projected HD film, animations and sounds. ‘Plinth’ will lead visitors around the exterior and interior of the Pavilion, with projected dance performance in high definition and sound captured within the building’s modernist architecture, inspired by the original plan to site a sculpture of Persephone in the grounds of the building. An animation workshop for young people will take place on the same day where they will learn the basics of animation and have the opportunity to be creatively involved in producing the series of animated stories that will be projected later during ‘Plinth’. This event is produced by UP Projects in collaboration with the De La Warr Pavilion, as part of the Pavilion’s Random Fridays programme. It is supported by Grants for the Arts funding from Arts Council England, South East and was originally developed for Future of Sound. www.upprojects.com
