This summer Barnsley town centre will host the first installment of an exciting new exhibition programme, Emergence. Dedicated to promoting emerging artists, this annual programme proudly presents the work of ten contemporary practitioners from around the country. Through Emergence, these aspiring artists have been presented with an opportunity to develop and exhibit new works, supporting them in what is often a challenging period in their careers. Located at multiple venues across the town centre, Emergence incorporates both established and newly transformed venues, promoting art and culture within the heart of the community.
