The exhibition Dreams and Defiance grew out of a shared love of Cuba following visits by prize-winning photographer Paul Schatzberger and award-winning writer Carolyn Waudby. A collection of 22 photographs is juxtaposed with 18 poems to celebrate the island’s people and culture in a unique show in the new Sheffield Institute of Arts gallery, marking the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. Part of Sheffield’s Off the Shelf Literature Festival.
