This is an exciting new exhibition by Patricia Ogundero. The artist’s paintings offer us a unique insight into multiple facets of our everyday lives, reflecting the vibrant colours of the world around us. They are infused all at once with joy, love, sorrow and a sense of well-being. Titles include Reach for the Skies, Dreamer, Valentine’s Night; Lovers Delight, Lighten up! It’s just Home work, Fishes in the Sky, A view from Salo Lake Garda. The Man in the Mirror; A Portrait of Michael Jackson, Patricia’s representation of Michael Jackson captures him with colours rather than his natural features infusing both resulting in this vibrant painting, done in February 2009, before MJ died. The viewer, seeing aspects of their own lives reflected through Ogundero’s works, will experience a desire to be a part of this unique perspective of Living. The work is contemporary, with refashioned African and European style, combining to create a technique which is truly the artist’s own. Patricia Ogundero is now one of Hillingdon’s artists and her work is widely shown in public and private collections across Nigeria and the UK. She runs her own studio and teaches Abstract Art in Hillingdon Adult Education Centre. All works are for sale and competitively priced.
