This exhibition explores the cultural differences between four Global cities; London, New York, Paris and Barcelona. ’i am Globalopolis’ is a playful mixture of graphic art and typography displaying four typefaces created from the underlying structure of each city. The forces of Globalisation are creating a homogenised culture that eats, lives and breathes the same. With cityscapes across the world becoming saturated with corporation, many of the unique characteristics that define each city are being erased.The project titled: ‘i am Globalopolis’ was created in response to Globalisation and the notion of monoculture. Every city has a name, every city has a certain taste, a smell, look and feel. Every city is unique.
