Hand in Glove, the Bristol/Cardiff-based artist-led Initiative, are pleased to announce Platform 2010, a group exhibition showcasing the work of 14 of the most promising graduating artists drawn from Universities in the South West of England and South Wales region (Bath Spa, UWE, UWIC & UWN). The selected artists are Emma Combellack, Agnieszka Gojska, Richard Davies, Vickie Fear, Anna-Marie Jones, Holly Maries, Ruth O’Brien, Molly Rooke, Angela Speight, Savannah Theis, Amy Thomas, Alexandra Wilks and Lucy Wright. The exhibition, taking place at The Crypt in Bristol, will offer this small group of cutting edge emerging artists from the region the chance to represent the most exciting artistic talent in our area, whilst forging links within it. Curated by Hand in Glove, Platform 2010 presents a vital selection of innovative and experimental work, revealing the timely concerns of a new generation of emerging artists working in the South West of England/South Wales region. The work is rich and varied, with no overriding curatorial theme; just the driving force and motivation of fresh, young artistic talent.
