Over 200 exhibitions and events in open houses, studios, public andcommercial spaces, museums and galleries. East London is getting ready for one of London’s fastest growing visualarts festivals, when for 10 days in September Walthamstow artists opentheir homes and studios, transform public and commercial spaces and embellish the streets. The E17 Art Trail, now in its sixth year, has a fitting theme – Welcome to Walthamstow – inspired by the incredible hospitality of local artists and communities exhibiting on the E17 Art Trail. For 2010 organisers have also invited guest artists from as near as neighbouringboroughs and as far as France, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Slovenia, the US, Lebanon and Jamaica and now want to welcome visitors to this unexpected arts destination at the end of the Victoria Line. The E17 Art Trail runs from 3rd-12th September. For full details and to view the ‘Trail Guide’ visit: www.e17arttrail.co.uk
