Virtually nothing and really something. During November, Bankley Gallery in Manchester is hosting an exhibition of carvings, fabrications and paintings by local artist Philip Kennedy. The exhibition will show work from the past five years, during which time the artist has been exploring figurative and gestural themes with an emphasis on partial and fleeting aspects of the real world, which when isolated seem to have greater resonance.
