The RBS Bursary Awards 2010 is a showcase of current contemporary practice; ten sculptors have been presented with this prestigious award and this unique opportunity of exhibiting their work as part of a group show in London. Eliza Bennett, Neil Dixon, Carlos Franklin, Aaron Head, Simon Linington, Wendy Mayer, Manuel Munoz, Anna Sikorska, Gaea Todd, Samuel Zealey. Individual and bold, the sculptors explore the interfaces between art, science, ecology, technology and psychology. The rich diversity of work reflects the individual artists’ background and their journey using sculpture as a means to express their ideas. The RBS Bursary Awards are designed to benefit sculptors’ in the early stages of their careers by providing opportunities and support enabling them to make the transition to a full and successful professional practice. This includes free membership to RBS for two years, opportunities to exhibit, present talks, apply for residencies, participate in training seminars, attend RBS events and access the unique RBS mentoring scheme.
