The Parfitt Gallery is pleased to present In Residence: Part II, an exhibition of work by Clare Seviour. Influenced by storytelling, in particular the illustrated book The Three Incestuous Sister’s by Audrey Niffenegger, this exhibition brings together a collection of image and text and performance related videos and photographs. Still Life, the work in this exhibition, is a story in three acts presented through a range of media to explore and highlight varying perspectives. The storyline runs alongside a non-linear subtext, which sees the characters caught up in a loop of cyclic, non-progression. The decision to supplement the original video with prints and projections of video stills was influenced by the illustrations in Niffenegger’s book.
