Landings: re-viewing the world includes works by three artist filmmakers, Simon Faithfull (UK), Inger Lise Hansen (Norway/UK) and Tal Rosner (Israel/UK), that use animation techniques to offer new perspectives on the world we live in. 13 by Simon Faithfull was created from PalmPilot drawings made whilst walking along the A13 trunk road. The film presents the journey in the mind of a dog as it sniffs its way back to Barking in London. Inger Lise Hansen presents a trilogy of films all made using an upside down time lapse camera that is moved, frame by frame, using stop frame technique. The three works present mysterious and disorienting landscapes in accelerated time. Tal Rosner’s film Without You is a visual exploration of London’s industrial suburbia. Following colours and surfaces into abstraction, the film reveals the complexity of apparently simple forms. Landings: re-viewing the world has been co-curated by Animate Projects and Spacex.
