I attempted my first cyanotypes today, and despte the sun they took hours to expose.
I’m interested to know if I can use the treated paper in a pinhole camera, but it appears that I need dazzling sunlight to achieve anything in before dusk.

a shake of blue a little of that
mixing and funnelling
an enchanting time
clinking of glass vials
a catalytic air
but wait, not just yet.
I am tired.
spinning around to right and five times left
exposing all outside of my own mouth
so that it becomes a void
and the revelation of what i have captured by attempting to consume
in white
a circular opening, a disclosure
and then to seek more
the same process repeated exactly
like a machine
but by a human who may choose to behave mechanically but cannot produce like a machine
the human errs
the human modifies
the human attempts a re-balancing
the machine makes the same thing until it is instructed not to
how can a text be interpreted to universal agreement?
How can a text be analysed?
how can we begin to understand?
even as one individual can i always read the same text the same way?
can i even understand always?
Today I made the house a bit tidier.
For weeks I have been stuck, I haven’t drawn or written or made anything so today instead of staring at a blank page I brushed and mopped and cleaned and washed and tidying and threw out – will this make space for me to work?
