(The site of the hospital on Southampton water was used by Pathe Brothers for their notorious 1917 film War Neuroses, which contains disturbing scenes of shellshocked soldiers from the Western front. It can be viewed via the Wellcome Trust website. Later in the 1960s the derelict building was used by Jonathan Miller for a production of Alice in Wonderland. this film is available through the British Film Institute.)
