It is freezing. Too cold to work in the studio so I am trying to get to grips with imovie for basic video editing. It seems to do the trick mostly.
I’ve been trying to get up to speed with what is going on in schools and what they want from arts workshops so joined in on a bespoke training day at Turner Contemporary for Dover District schools. There was a detailed presentation of the Artsmark criteria they need to meet and a chance to see how Turner Contemporary uses their “Object Dialogue Box” to stimulate dialogue and boost confidence in talking about works of art.
DAD has delivered 9 out of 10 workshops to schools in the past 2 weeks. General feedback has been good, but one school was disappointed by the lack of “product” at the end. As artists we are so used to the value of process and open-ended outcomes that it is easy to forget to have this conversation in advance with teachers who might be expecting a certain kind of product.
