Hue Exhibition

My work is currently at Milsom Place, Bath, part of the Hue exhibition.

My work looks at Asian Culture and my division between the two culture, Asian and English.

This is a series of work that I have done with fabric, with embroidery stitihed on top.

The way the work is set out is highly inspired by Luke Frost, I went to his exhibition at Beaux Art Gallery on 09/2010.

Here is my interpretation of Frost’s work.

For a while I was really struggling with thickness of pens and I was testing out loads of different thickness in pens and different style of pens such as Biro, markers, ink and ballpoint pens. I found a broad pen which works well in this scale of work. But I found that by using this pens that I did the designs bigger but I wanted the design to be smaller.
In my next piece of work I am hoping to do the design smaller and more detailed.
