Buzzing around like busy bee’s everyone is preparing for their ‘Final Presentations’ for the MA Degree Show. I don’t like the word final as it suggest and ending or a departure. I would prefer to say the ‘Beginning Presentation’ although that suggests that I haven’t done this before…hmm. Let’s say ‘Another Presentation’ or the ‘Presentation of Many Yet to Come’ (hopefully), yes, lets stick with, the ‘Presentation of Many Yet to Come’ (hopefully).
For the ‘Presentation of Many Yet to Come’ (hopefully), I intend to show two pieces inside the majestic School of Art building. One of the works will be a two sided video installation housed in the basement. The other will be an audio piece secreted in an obscure location which will draw attention to the history and peculiarity of the Margaret Street studios.
I don’t want to give too many particulars away as to what the videos will show or what the audio piece will actually transmit as not to distract from the phenomena of visiting an art exhibition. Instead I would hope you would come along to the show and judge for yourself.
The show starts with a Private View on Friday 2nd September 2011 and runs until 11th September 2011.
