So while I sit chilling on the golden sand beach on the Island of Gozo in Malta….
No, I don’t wish to do any thinking or work, well would you?
I do a quick sketch just before we pack up… And when I’m back in the hotel The Radisson Blu resort, golden sands I will research sand sculptures.

The lightness of the cast in the tissue paper découpage represented the delicateness, a fragility and felt or perception of the/a woman.
A reflection of the human condition. The media and society have put its mark on what they perceive to be beautiful.
Thoughts of growth, and nurturing …who is she? With no specific features, acts like a silhouette, this body may represent whoever.
As a trained beauty therapist I have an interest of the body form, and well being; the perception and the human conditioning. The media and society has put its mark on what they perceive On viewing this I think of growth, the nurturing who is she? I feel my work leans towards questioning perception or is it just preference? This piece with no specific features like the silhouettes the body may represent whoever, and the hope of a woman for her life and future.

I had previously tried to upload this but i had issues with the layout of my images and I have a load of a lady? Whom I don’t know, #confused. It brings me back to the lecture when my art colleague Harry Osborne was presenting his blog and my image ‘Contentment’ appeared in his thread.
The ‘Perception series’ continues as I sketch on, basically focussing and exploring about the Afro hair type.
The Afro hair is very versatile, the natural hair coil, in its original state would be half the length of it, if it the hair was not blowed out or straightened with a hot comb, GHD’s or the use of chemical relaxers.
I continue to illustrate the physiognomy of the Black female figure.
I am trying out digital drawing using a digital pen and Ipad or my tablet, as I previously did some on braided hair , the idea was to see how I got on with it while placing features in the drawings.
