Flis Holland and I began to put together a small publication yesterday after her visit to the UK provided us with an opportunity to meet at my studio in Sheffield to continue the collaboration. This published work will document the Helsinki based exhibition that took place in April this year, comprising text and images from the two of us. We have also invited Elaine Speight, curator of In Certain Places, to contribute a written work that explores themes that are pertinent to the works exhibited. The publication will from part of our proposal for future exhibitions in Europe and beyond, and could develop in to a series as the project progresses.
Next month Flis and I will be attending the Art in Translation conference in Reykjavik, Iceland as part of our ongoing research.
