Here is an interesting image that I took on a shopping trip in Manchester City Centre. I love the way the light shines through the window, but its so sad that hardly anyone sees it as the stairway was so hidden in the store
Love this, Yayoi Kusamas Mirrored room, its an amazing use of light
I have just been looking on pinterest and searched for light, I found a few interesting images one was of a sparkler. I wonder what it would be like to make an image of a sparkler using photosensitive paper. Might try it, I just need to buy some sparklers.
Why am I doing this blog?
This blog is about me expanding my ideas into the public arena. I graduated in 2002, with a Visual Arts degree. I had acclaim about my art, but I did not share this confidence. It was hard for me to think about my work in a professional capacity, or to see why people would be interested in my work.
Since then I have created art, however, when I was not in my safety zone of a learning environment, the fear to show my work or explore its deeper meanings, has felt like an impossibility. As I grow older and continue to create art, I see that the importance of my work isn’t about what others think or believe art to be, but, what is important to me and the relationship I have with the subjects I choose to explore.
So, I have created this blog to share my ideas and thinking processes in an environment where I can have discussions with other artists and individuals, just like the comfort zone of the university art studio. But as an Artist and not a person that creates art in her spare time. As a professional and not as a hobbyist. To build my portfolio and to expand my horizons within the arena of the art world.
