Counts and Nuonces

Today I have shuffled around my studio trying to decide where to place each piece of spliced, reconfigured and manipulated image together with the usual materials I have to create new work. I am undecided at the moment, wrestling with composition, colour and even scale of the subjects I have chosen to portray in this new series of abodes for my beautiful kings. Part of me really wants to push the size of the work more..I will need a more decisive state of mind as well as a larger area to work in for these to work. I am forever working behind myself. Ideas have been realised for the next reveal but I have the compulsive need to complete these before I can move onto the next stage…

The project is a slow – reveal. Over time, I will be exposing the next layer of the project. If all goes to plan, I will expose a series of landscapes from where my imaginary 'kings' reign. This project is multi layered in many ways as is the way I always appear to work. Its just knowing when to stop.
