More than eyes can see…
Last Wednesday I was thinking about the chap from Chad I hadn't seen for about a year. I employed him for garden projects and he gave me an unique insight into life and the turmoil in his country.
That same afternoon he knocked on my door to say hello.
On Friday I was thinking about the chap from Sudan I used to employ for garden projects, he gave me an awareness of the genocide and suffering in his country.
On Saturday morning he appeared at my door.
Later that morning we drove to Barnes to have coffee with Emily's Goddaughter Agnes and her parents, Nicola and Rhidian.
Rhidian with his family had not long returned from Africa, where they'd lived in HIV/AIDS epicentres.
Rhidian is a regular contributor to BBC R4's Thought For The Day and is an award winning novelist and a screen and short story writer.
His new book has further inspired me to paint with wide open eyes…

A plumber's in the bathroom making a complete balls-up of fitting a bath…and I was in an overgrown garden yesterday working my balls off…
The theme for today is ball, and I will be having one in my studio, painting, as soon as the plumber's finished and has turned the water back on!

Above, is a theoretical example of how to make money in the art world…
Anyone who has their own website probably receives a lot of spam. I'd like to think there's a conceptual artist who'll make an installation from all this spam, it's an obvious subject so I'm sure it's been done to death already…
When the invites are sent out to the private view via email, I'll be the first to press delete…
