‘Utopia is a mirage that has overtaken societal needs to create an ignorance to the subversive strategy that aims to fund warfare.’

I feel the need to quote my own writing here as I attempt to distract myself with applications the day after hand in.

What an emotional whirlwind of a week with so much adrenaline that has been saved up for the last four years in sight of installing degree show. Unsure of what day it is, I felt that coffee fuel was the only what to take in the amount that was to be learned in such a short amount of time.

Planning for an exhibition in a space that does not exist throws all sorts of curve balls in your path and for those of us in sculpture, not very much time was left to make executive decisions that could not be predicted to arise. What I thought has been planned so well became a dull, fatigued void of uncertainty. Sometimes you can only plan so much, once you get into a space your sense of judgement totally changes, I had to have at least four people confirm my decisions were reasonable before doing anything, this support can only come with hundreds of students being in exactly the same position.

There are no words to express your last days in the art college, there is support where ever you go, from the janitors, the canteen shop workers and tutors and technicians its a community that is like no other.

Now for a week of waiting, seeking more adventures.
