From the Degree show to MA studio practice journal

Very interesting and relevant to my work is the work of Tomma Abts and the essay ” the beauty and politics of latency on the work of Tomma Abts by Jan Verwoert.  ” In studying the complexity of these forms and the traces of their emergence, your perception is made to shift from the mode of reading visual form to a manifestation of an artistic process. In other words, from the actuality of identifying a given form as a visual information to an immersion in the latency of memory inscribed in the materiality of paint on canvas”.

This recent work seems to confirm my interest in experimental processes, exploring materials in a playful way but also with an investigative attitude. During the first semester on the MA studio practice I wanted to start with few materials, making collages responding to the space in my studio I made an installation including fabric as well.
