As you can see from a previous post I started this particular piece of work like the others, and doing the same movements over and over again become boring and repetitive. So with that in mind I decided to change direction and use a palette knife instead. I found that a palette knife gave me more range to move and I could flow the paint the way I wanted. While creating my painting I listen to certain types of music to inform what I am doing, and as a result I believe that it has made this piece look more energetic. If I was to create this piece again I think that I would use a palette knife right from the start and also listen to different types on music like rock and soul.
