My A-n professional development bursary is currently funding a series of curatorial critique sessions focusing on the work made for my two solo shows of the first part of this year with invited curators across the country.
So far I’ve had fantastically inspiring meetings with Bryony Bond from The Tetley in Leeds, Anneka French, independent curator based in Birmingham, Paulette Terry Brien at International 3 in Manchester, Adam Smythe at The Bluecoat in Liverpool and Fiona Corridan and Kate Jesson from Manchester Art Gallery.
Having a small break from my brilliantly inspiring curatorial critique sessions that have so far taken me to meet curators in Liverpool at The Bluecoat, Leeds at The Tetley and Manchester at International 3 and Manchester Art Gallery. When I resume the visits later this month I’m looking forward to seeing curators in Birmingham, Bristol and further afield.
More details on discussion topics and resulting work next month.
So far I’ve had three curatorial critique sessions in Manchester and Leeds and am preparing for a fourth in Liverpool this week. All the sessions have been fantastic – inspirational and motivating – more details coming soon!
