I finally took the step and put myself on the world wide web (www.bethbarlow.com)
I have done lots of projects about the internet even writing a whole novel about it. The novel "Whatever" looked at whether internet social networking can be used as a kind of adult play, a test ground for real interactions. As part of my MA I asked people in chat room to take part in my final year art project by proposing ideas which could then be made by artists. But until now I've never had the courage to put myself out there. At the end of the day it has all been pretty easy and I feel good about it. For two years until I have to decide whether to pay again I own my name on the internet and it is also giving me a little place to play. The art Haiku in the corner of the home page is an effort to make myself create a tiny experiment each week. If any other artists want to join me in this It would be good to have a link to other artist Tiny experiments in art. Drop me a line( what a funny expression, guess it relates to lines of words dropping through your letter box.).
