I’m so rubbish at keeping this blog because it doesn’t come under my usual login. But today I’ve had some time to read blogs and so remembered. And I finally have some time at last to contribute to the blog, but don’t have much to say. I’m trying to get into a ptb zone, to think of new and exciting things… but nothing!
Elena I really don’t know what you should do, if you go ahead and post it maybe it should be on a new blog, but hey I know nothing! I’d love to read it though. Sorry I can’t be more help.
It’s my day off work today and I’m spending it writing a proposal or rather not writing a proposal. (you can both expect a email copy soon) I’ve promised myself when I’ve finished it I can have some fun making cardboard sushi (no that’s not how bad a chef I am, it’s for a childrens art workshop) but at this rate I’ll never do it. I was starting to go a bit crazy so thought this would be a good way to take a break.
It’s such a lovely day I might go out into the garden and just sit for a while and see if I can clear my head of all the thoughts swirling around to make way for something new!
Hi Both!
I wanted to open up a bit of a discussion about blogs, either between us 3 or with anyone else that wants to join in, so here seemed a better place to do it than on “Threads”
I’m due to hand in a final piece of writing, and sort of prompted by the success of the blogs, I’ve written it as an extended blog post, but with the occasional reference included, to fulfil any hoop-jumping required by the course. I was going to hand it in in the usual fashion, but as I’ve written it in much the same meandering, casual style of my blog, I wonder about just posting it in sections on an a-n blog, either attached to “Threads” or separate to it.
What do you think? Part of me thinks there’s not much point as it is a course driven thing and as such, a bit artificial. On the other hand I quite like the idea that it might gather a few comments as it goes…. good or bad…
The references and quotes I have written in green (coincidence, Franny?) so that should you be so inclined, you can miss those bits out and read it just as a reverie on the last 2 yrs, or can read the “intellectual” stuff as well.
I am really in two minds and am finding it impossible to make a decision, so any input at all will help folks please?
It kind of calls into question the whole purpose of a blog, but also, whether there are better ways of ending the course than with a dry, 2500 word academic essay… which isn’t my thing really…

Hi both
How can we still be in the a-n blog top 10 when we have so sadly neglected our joint blog? All those dissapointed people.
Elena, Franny and Julie are on here like hoeopathic vibrations in the ether and not a word written….
I have just sent this to Julie, so I will put it on here for you too Elena. My favourite place to look for residencies etc. I don’t apply. Just dream….

Any idea why this is typing in green. Have one of you been at it?!
Very strange seeing a proper photo of you Elena…I followed the Worcestershire Radio link and there you were. Very like your Facebook portrait painting , but more so if you know what I mean.
I will listen on Monday while I am putting up my show. Must remember to charge my notebook.
Interesting that Julie said ‘So thats what you sound like!’
We have been corresponding with some of the usual social clues under wraps haven’t we? Fascinating.
One other thing. I missed it. but our local needleworkers had a tiny exhibition in the church. It was about bonnets. Bonnets that the Australia bound women convicts made for themselves and embroidered with their names.
Sounded like an Eleana stream of conciousness that might land on a foreign shore somewhere and become something wonderful.
Hope the tax return is returned Julie. All that stuff is just hateful and scary. I am a complete wuss when it comes to dealing with it. Give me kids, animals, work and art anyday.
…..and an accountant!

I happened across this artists work http://www.brennamaag.ca/current/hortusacea.html
She’s taken a domestic craft and made it into this beautiful installation. I especially like the the way she’s categorised the doilies as scientific specimens. Thought you both might like it too.

Hi Both, I’m PTBB (pleased to be back) haha. No really I’ve missed you both. I have a few days before I go back to work and i am going to attempt to think creatively again. At the moment my brain isn’t working but I’m hopeful!
