Here is Week 5:
Change of gear in the process. I took a break from the template I’ve been using since the first studio session and decided instead to revisit certain improvisation moments from the previous rehearsals that still resonated until then.
It became quickly a heavy play between weight, balance and breathing.
It was a movement game between my head, my arms and their natural sense of direction. Oscillating. Dangling. Circulating.
It was a gradual phase of Transformation. As a process. As a thread. As a choreographic moment. As a physical desire. As a fantastic, imaginary creature. ?

This is a short improvisation on the music of Susanne Sundford. I was halfway through the R&D process for this new Solo (H.F.). I had just entered the Studio at Centre 151 and felt in the very introspective mood having listened to Hildegard von Bingen’s meditative sound in the morning. Before starting that new rehearsal on the new Solo, I just let my body be and move freely for a short while ?

Here’s Week 4:
I entered the studio with some doubts but still willing to dive deeper into this new territory. I focused on my upper body’ movement and its constant swinging motion. It became a more and more internal process. And my mind exploded with thoughts and images as random as geometrical lines, Jesus on a Cross, the size of the Earth or rivers of blood. My red jumper was an inviting guest and so was Susanne Sundford.?

Here’s Week 3
I started to move towards an unknown territory. Played with gestures, my hands and knees while asking myself more questions about the process, the ecstactic feeling I got from moving, the fine line between authentic movement and entertainment. Images of water, volcanoes, brick walls travelled also through my mind. Going round and round like a circle, I think about this new piece as to be everything but an Easy Ride?
