I have been busy researching opportunities to help me when I leave college. I am investigating a creative industries 'start up' course to help me develop my career and business knowledge. The reality of how little time is left is beginning to hit home and then the hard part!

I am planning to see what my images look like in different formats. Do I have to paint my images or am I happy having my images reproduced for me. What is special to me about my work!
Now that my last unit is over it is time to start considering what I will do next. I have started to think about what is important in my paintings the image, the type of paints used or the surface I can create. I still think image is key with my work and I am exploring scale.
We had a very interesting talk today by an established Welsh artist called Chris Griffin. It was fascinating to see how his work had developed and the influences that he drew from to create his art. It made me reflect upon my own studio practice and think about the art I wish to produce and the ongoing dilemma about creating marketable paintings verses creation of ones own driven work which may not be marketable at all!! An ongoing point to be considered all the time.
I feel the ideas of perception on which I based my object for the module 'Ritual and Ceremony' have strong links with my topic for my dissertation and also my own studio practice.
