For my final module, I think I'm going to embark on a further composition to help confirm what my work's about. But I still hope to move my ideas on by using shapes and forms from my own close surroundings and amalgamating them with my chosen organic forms. Perhaps I will re-use certain elements from my previous images but put them into a completely different and new scape.
Better stop thinking about it and talking about it and get on with it instead!!!!!
Following my recent tutorial, I felt that I needed to stop and really take time to reflect and evaluate my work.
I needed to really think about what I had been doing and why!!!! Which out of all the different processes involved in my work gave me the most satisfaction????
I have been exploring shape, form and colour. Why? Because I find them gorgeous and want to create my own compositions using different elements. And it's this process of constructing my compositions that I find most satisfying.
Great relief in that I have now handed in my dissertation!!!!!!! Can't make any more alterations!!!!!
Tomorrow, I have to talk about my work and issues relating to it with a small group of students. This discussion will take the form of a presentation.
I think I'm going to bring up the issue of 'Public Art' and ask the other students what exactly do they understand by the term.
I've decided to go back to the drawing board, literally, and I am working on a new image which will perhaps amalgamate certain elements from my previous pieces but also introduce new elements from my own surroundings. Whether I produce this piece as a painting or as a digital image, I have yet to decide, but I think the scale will be reasonably large.
I'm having doubts about the conclusion I reached regarding my work. Do I really want to produce my final piece for the Summer Show as a digital image? And do I really want to move into the realms of Public Art? Time for more evaluation and reflection!!!!!!!!
