Looking for different venues at which to display my printed banners. Proving quite tricky because full length of work measures 4 metres long. Also logistics of fixing proves quite a hurdle as far as 'Health and Safety' is concerned. But hey ho! that's life and I'm sure that I will find a way round it!!!!!!!

Started working on the colour composition of my banners. I am using photoshop as an aid to my process but wish I had attended more of the photoshop workshops!!!
Yesterday I attended the first of 4 sessions of a Start Up Bussiness Course run by our council (Creative Industries). It was very interesting and useful. We talked about the importance of promoting ourselves, networking and how to approach different organisations for funding.
Now that my images are now scanned I am eager to start adding colour.
My images/designs for my banners are just about finalised now, and I plan to scan them on to photoshop so that I can work on my colours next.
I've been looking at how 'Poussin' and 'Caulfield' used colour and tone to alter the perspective in their compositions. Sometimes subtle but very clever!
Survived Christmas and the New Year, so must get back to it now. I'm still exploring the idea of Design within Fine Art and think that it depends on the definition of design and the context in which it is used. I will continue to question the definitions of Design, Image, Drawing and Painting. In the meantime I have managed to hang my preparatory images of my banner designs on the front of the house for the day, just to see what they looked like at that scale.
