Well things have been pretty hectic for me the past few weeks. The print centre will have a stand at the Manchester Artists Book Fair which takes place on Saturday 8th November in the Holden Gallery at MMU just off Oxford Road in Manchester. I've got some things to take and i'll add some piccys next to the blog.I can't go because we'll be in London that day. Jeanette's exhibition opens at the Flow Gallery in Notting Hill. I've probably already mentioned it. She's showing with Julie Arkell, who put it together with the gallery, Jessie Chorley (who just opened a shop with her friend Buddug- google them I'm sure you'll find them. The shop's on Columbia Road in London i think), and Cleo Mussi.
Been to two exhibitions this week at Oriel Wrecsam and the Royal Cambrian Academy, check out my reviews in reviews unedited.
Michelle Rowley from Liverpool, who teaches at Wirral Met gave a great 4 sessions on artists books at the centre. Thanks Michelle! It was really interesting to see her collection. We've got Danielle Creenuane and Catherine Kleeli giving workshops next week.
Wasn't feeling too good today, Just thought I would add these images of some new work that I'm doing for MY Galeri exhibition which is after Jeanette's in November/December ( I think it opens on 21st November) when she's showing at the Flow Gallery in Notting Hill.
I've been looking at an old abandoned printworks next to Galeri and using that as a starting point, also have always loved Advent Calendars, and wanted to use other buildings I like, such as places in Venice, where we went thanks to Wales Arts International to see the Bienalle, Seville, an old tin chapel near Minera, a building in Llanberis at the Dinorwig Quarry.
Back at work now, in the print centre in Wrexham. the exhibition seems to be going ok… heard a comment on the radio the other day about Universal Indifference and sometimes it feels like that, though I have had a feature in Golwg Magazine, and the show was used as a backdrop for an interview of S4C due to screen early october, and Pam wrote a nice review in Interface and yesterday Printmaking Today came out and there's a feature in there too.The comments have generally been positive and I had a really nice email from someone who had been really moved by it and who'd been back 3 times.
The show has not been listed, which is a shame, but some exhibitions in Bangor and somewhere else finish this week so maybe there will finally be room for the Welsh "W"s in the Guide.
Jeanette's exhibition "delineated" opens on Friday at Galeri in Caernarfon. She has made a beautiful suite of prints for the show and some of the work which was damaged and has been repaired at the Conservation Centre in Liverpool will be shown for the first time. Her exhibition at the Flow Gallery in Notting Hill is in November, she's showing there with Jessie Chorley (studio/shop opens on Columbia Road on Friday), Julie Arkell (who has curated the show) and i think Cleo Mussi, who makes mosaics.
We had a really good workshop at the print centre started last saturday in anticipation of our stand at the Manchester Book Art Fair in November. Michelle Rowley, from Wirral Met, came over with her private collection of artist's books and we looked at different book forms.

Thank you.
Had a day in the City of Culture on Sunday for a return visit on the last day to the Gustaf Klimt exhibition at Tate Liverpool. I enjoyed it more the second time as i didn't allow myself to linger in the first few rooms and focused instead on the drawings and paintings and Josef Hoffman's rug designs. it was so busy. I took my ipod so i was able to block most of the distraction out. Then walked up into town through the vastly improved Liverpool 1 shopping area. I remember when to walkfrom the Albert Dock into town was across a wasteland and you felt that someday somebody would have to do something about this. Well they have and it's so much better.
Went up to the Bluecoat which has been re-whatevered. I like the sanctity of the space. Saw a really good green space outside and used the free wifi. Can really recommend the coffee. The exhibition was ok but not really my thing, though i did enjoy the sound work with sand and the coffee cups.
Did an interview with Golwg magazine yesterday morning. Spent ages last night trying to get Jeanette's statement and stuff together for her exhibition at Galeri in Caernarfon, and my stuff for Theatr Clwyd in Mold. Keep forgetting that the group exhibition opens in Ucheldre, Holyhead on Friday.
OH! and found out on Friday that everything in my office had to be removed for fumigation thanks to that bloody pigeon! (see earlier blog). apparently we had an infestation eughhhh!
Am in the process of writing thank yous to people for my birthday but could I just say thanks to everyone who came on Friday.
