Well…
where to start? It's been a really busy few weeks getting things together to be framed and working out the print centre stuff and making new work and everything else.
Went to the opening party of the New Ruthin Craft Centre on Friday, and again this afternoon. The Centre is fantastically well designed, beautiful gallery spaces, courtyard area, cafe, studios. The opening event was a night to remember. Andrew Logan arranged a performance that encompassed the elements and the void, it was stunning and then Bethan Elfyn (off of Radio 1) and her Vinyl Vendettas (check em out on myspace) played music well into the night. The Galleries have a feel of being in a European City and Philip Hughes and Jane Gerrard have done a wonderful job of bringing Craft and the Applied Arts to a small rural town in North Wales.
Anyway…Thank you Ruthin for an amazing night and I highly recommend a visit if you have never been, and if you have been, come again…it's amazing!
On the work front, I am coming to the end of the Guardian Guide series, just a few more days i reckon, and i have the prints at the framers, and i just need to do some more things with eggs! and bottles!!
oh, the exhibition opens end of august so see oriel wrecsam for details, i'm also in a touring exhibition that starts the week after in Canolfan Ucheldre, Holyhead. and finally… a family of Dryw bach, little wrens appeared in the tree outside my window, and the pigeon now has two of the ugliest yellow chicks!
