i found a portugal person and a replacement for the netherlands girl that has moved to england. phew, so now i have a roll of kodachrome in every location. i have made a special spreadsheety document instead of my rough grid in my notebook. and ive put dates of when i last had contact with the photographers, this has highlighted a bit of a worry as ive not heard from some for a while. i sent some more ‘hows it going’ emails and got a couple of replies, ive gotta not get anxious.
on the plus side i have been emailing galleries with a project summery and have a place in stockholm that may be interested. hoorah. and a museum that is putting it forward at their next planning meeting, which in itself is a hoorah. anything that is not a no is good news.
positive thoughts
this morning was a general ‘go down the list of names and check what is going on’. its a bit complicated as i have to go through my physical list in my book and tally with the flickr mail inbox/outbox.

so i scanned the images and uploaded them but i scanned them the wrong way round, so i have redone it today. plus i had the slides from new jersey arrive, so, very exciting to see the start of the project as such – which actually started 4months ago.
i got some really good feedback in liverpool when i was up there rabbiting on about it, it helps when others react with genuine excitement in their voice. i feel like its on track. the only thing is financially i have come to a meltdown, which is not good and even optomistic me cant see a bright side. gotta book hotel and car for kansas visit still so feeling just a bit anxious about that end of things.

right, my knowledgebale film photographer friend has diagnosed the problem. the swiss photographers camera has tiny holes in the fabric of the shutter material, hence holes in the image, the more pronounced the holes, the longer the lens cap had been off. so i have beeen pondering this and putting off scanning and emailing the fella to let him know, cant decide wether to ask him to redo or not. think i will leave that to him. the fact is i like the images – they have a mystery to them, like alleged ufo photos, that there is something else there that isnt really visible. plus the fact it is taken with an old format camera that is being eaten by tiny bugs, on a film that is under sentance.
ok. writing this has has concentrated my thought. scan the images & upload, email and break the bad news that his camera is poorly but that the slides are not.

the colours are good though they look very 70’s – the inside of the building is light olive green and crayon sunshine yellow.
will pop over to friend with slide scanner and to see if he knows what’s with the odd circles.
