Edinburgh College of Art’s Masters degree show is an annual contribution to Edinburgh Art Festival and is a showcase of work from over 50 postgraduate students from the School of Art, School of Design and the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA).
The Masters Festival is an addition to the MA shows, and sees ECA’s Sculpture Court transformed to host a programme of talks, performances, workshops and exhibitions. The festival also hosts a display of postcards developed by staff and PhD students.
The Festival programme includes ‘Here, Right Now: Art Writing Readings – a selection of Edinburgh-based art writers presenting new works’ after their contribution to Cooper Gallery’s Studio Jamming sessions as part of Generation and the workshop ‘Introducing the Artist Rooms Research Partnership’ between National Galleries of Scotland and Tate.
All of the events are free but many are ticketed, for more information see ECA’s PDF listings – http://www.eca.ed.ac.uk/sites/default/files/documents/news/ECA%20Masters%20Events%20Flyers.pdf
