We seem to be immersed into decisions about the visa situation. We could pay 400 for someone else to take care of it. We could catch trains to hongkong, we could buy flights that are pretty expensive. I can’t seem to make a decision.
Doug Lewis, one of the guests at the dinner party wrote me an email –
” all night, I had things running though my head: “…we are being Linked-In together”, that and other digital thoughts that were hard to avoid. Another was Marcel Duchamp’s sculpture In Advance of a Broken Arm or Bruce Nauman’s Bound to Fail. And Louise Bourgeois’ giant spider of course, the giant bronze that looms over ones head when underneath it. But the evening was not so daunting, it had the opposite affect. We were allured by the aesthetics of food, seduced by wine and bound together through conversations, all by simply threading and drawing-together the humanity between us.”
JaneLee also wrote me an email with her thought on the night.
