Since I started my course in Art and Design WSC College in Bury St Edmund, I had the opportunity to further develop my artistic skills with orientations and tutorials from my teachers. It was a very rewarding experience, and the same year of 2012 I started my university course in Fine Art at the University of Ipswich – UCS, so I could provide continuity in my artistic practice.
My artistic background is based on the development in Performance Art, drawing, painting, Sculpture, Printmaking and Lens Based Media. That is, I have been interested in all that is related to art and I am currently attending the last year level 6 in Fine Art and I am preparing and working hard for my Degree Show in July /15.
Throughout my course of Fine Arts, I have experienced all kinds of media to develop my artistic skills, always with orientation and tutorials of skilled, friendly and helpful teachers and staff of this University UCS. I mean, friendly and attentive, because I’m a foreigner, and my native language is Portuguese, so English is not my first language, I am Brazilian and I am also the granddaughter of an Italian and I have a second Portuguese nationality.
I had my first contact with art in Brazil. This was after a short course in art, and then other courses that I did to learn painting techniques. However I had already aroused the taste and skill for arts, so I started teaching for pre-school and then in high school.
I gave the title of Metamorphosis for all my work from the third year of the Fine Arts course -UCS / 2015 such as performances, paintings, lens-based media, and installation because I believe that, at some point in our lives, something always will be transformed.
