Not Another Degree Show!

It’s the build up to our degree show. The culmination of three years’ hard work and dedication has lead up to this, and to tell the truth we want something a bit different this year. Something to distinguish us from all the other shows out there. So we thought, and thought and thought, and decided that the last thing that we wanted to see was yet another degree show. So are creating something that is not another degree show.

As students from Middlesex University we are set apart literally (there’s nothing here in Hendon) and figuratively, because we aren’t a art university, we are a university that happens to have an art and design school within it, and therein lies the difference. We are influenced by the other departments, by our long journeys into and out of Hendon, by our struggle for studio space in a class with 70+ students on it, by the broad based nature of the course itself… well, you get the drift. We are different here.

So before you go thinking “Oh God, not another degree show!” take a step back, and consider our work for a moment. If you don’t see something that interests you, it won’t be for our lack of trying.
