So there was I, hair and make up done, sat there batting my eyelashes to all the passers by. Then a breeze ruffled my carefully coiffured foliage, encouraging any willing departees to feel the air beneath them and take flight up into the world beyond.
Harrumph! I’ll have to re-do everything now.
Taking Flight (mixed media painting on canvas, 50x50cm)
Don’t I look enchanting as my blues catch the corner of your eye? Really, you love my swaying locks of peachy blooms, but it’s the homeliness of the welcoming light that draws you in. Why not catch a petalled cluster and inhale the scent?
Peachy Blooms (mixed media on canvas, 50x50cm)
A petalled tongue unfurls from it’s arch in a floral version of the carpet at the Oscars. Only this carpet is far far more luxuriously fragrant and wonderfully coloured – wouldn’t you love to don your favourite outfit and weave your way amongst these beauties?
Unfurling Fragrance (mixed media on canvas, 60x60cm)
Pinks lightly scattered through the petals, dancing and changing every time you blink. There’s always more to something than first meets the eye.

Dreamy Smile (mixed media on canvas, 50x50cm)
Come closer, see glassy reflections on those crystal blue skies through the fragrant blooms. I feel like I have windows on the world, reflecting those skies. Optimism and a dreamy smile prevails on these days.
