Muse Residency 2013

I am in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition this year showing two paintings, Native American and Sioux Warrior in the Small Weston Room curated by Humphrey Ocean

Work so far on the new canvas, its become a portrait of sorts from being abstract to start with.

I have started a new canvas hand stretched and primed. Its 40 x 60 in and its part of a series that will be for my solo show in the autumn. There is a smaller canvas I’m working on alongside and both are based on imagined biomorphic forms drawn from imagination.

Today I worked on a tribal portrait. It started quite abstract but its become more representational now. I’m planning to get some bigger canvases next week and looking forward to starting some abstract work based on organic forms.
