I’m interested in the grid as it references construction – especially the construction of cloth since all my work uses recycled clothing – but also as a kind of founding principle upon which everything is built. And all my work focuses on materiality and material consciousness, which is where the kind of organic elements of my practice come in – and where I think there’s an interesting overlap with the instability in your work.
