Diary of a collaborative research project in the areas of Jungian psychology, alchemy and mythology

This is a record of a research and development project funded by the Arts Council, uniting artistic practice with scientists, academics, architects and health professionals. The projects focus is the influence of environment on human experience and wellbeing.

In my practice I explore a performative, as opposed to scientific, understanding of ‘lively material’ (cells, viruses and DNA). I am using my a-n bursary to develop content for a sound art workshop that focuses on performative ways of relating to lively material through sound.

I paint dramatic skies and cloud formations inspired constantly changing overhead views over me on the Isle of Skye.
