In my practice I explore a performative, as opposed to scientific, understanding of ‘lively material’ (cells, viruses and DNA). I am using my a-n bursary to develop content for a sound art workshop that focuses on performative ways of relating to lively material through sound.
I paint dramatic skies and cloud formations inspired constantly changing overhead views over me on the Isle of Skye.

Artist Anji Archer and myself are currently running an Arts Council England funded project called Open Art Box. This pilot project is to run eight drawing workshops at Stevenage Museum for those in the community living with early-stage dementia and their carers.
