More images from my last trip to Milwyn Foundry, the silicon moulds and the ceramic coating. They are getting on with making the steel framework at the moment and I am working on the final drawings and images for the buoy. A week of mainly drawings for planning, next week onto the more interesting stuff, the imagery and text that I am going to use on the surface and working out how to draw into the wax, how to achieve certain marks, how to work in and with a new medium.
Doing drawings for the planning application today. This is the site, in the snow in January with a 2m circle drawn, it is always amazing how things look so much smaller when taken out into the landscape.
week 1 in the process of making the buoy, after my visit to Milwyn last week, I have a better understanding of the process. The first stage for me though is to do the drawing on a 1:1 scale of the imagery and text on the sculpture, as well as doing the drawings for the planning application.
